Connect MYGU to your AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini — and ask it to help you find, compare and buy. The assistant checks the catalogue, prices, stock and shipping in real time and prepares your cart; you review it and pay on our website.

Safe by design

  • You always pay yourself, on our website's secure payment page. The assistant never sees or asks for card details.
  • The assistant cannot place orders on its own: it gives you a cart link that you review before buying.
  • Checking an order needs its number and the email used to buy. Addresses and payments are never shown.

How to connect, step by step

Claude

claude.ai and the Claude desktop app, on every plan (one custom connector on the free plan). Once added, it also works in the mobile app.

  1. 1Open claude.ai (or the desktop app) and go to Customize → Connectors.
  2. 2Click “+” and choose “Add custom connector”.
  3. 3Type the name “MYGU” and paste the address https://mygu.pt/mcp. For authentication, choose “No sign in”.
  4. 4Click “Add”. In a chat, turn the connector on from “+” → Connectors and ask away.

On Team or Enterprise accounts, the organisation owner adds the connector first; then each person clicks “Connect”.

ChatGPT

chatgpt.com, on plans that allow adding custom MCP servers (OpenAI keeps widening the list; check your settings).

  1. 1Open chatgpt.com and go to Plugins (on some accounts: Settings → Apps & connectors → Advanced → Developer mode).
  2. 2Click “+” → “Add custom MCP server” (or “Create”).
  3. 3Name: “MYGU”. URL: https://mygu.pt/mcp. Authentication: none. Accept the notice and install.
  4. 4In a chat, type “@MYGU” (or pick it from the “+” menu) and ask away.

Gemini

Gemini CLI, in any country. The Gemini app only accepts MCP “custom apps” in the US for now; when it reaches your country, paste the same address in Settings → Connected apps → Add a custom app.

  1. 1Install Gemini CLI (geminicli.com) and open a terminal.
  2. 2Run the command below (or add the block to ~/.gemini/settings.json).
  3. 3Open Gemini CLI, check with /mcp that MYGU shows as connected and ask away.

What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to outside services. It lets Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini query the shop directly, with up-to-date information.
Does it cost anything?
Not from us. You only pay for the products and shipping you choose at checkout. Some assistant features depend on your plan with them.
Can the assistant get a price wrong?
The valid price is always the one in our checkout, worked out at that moment from the catalogue. Review your cart before paying.
Can I disconnect it?
Yes, any time, on the same assistant page where you added it. We keep nothing from your conversation.
